Job Opening: Medical Applications Trainer, Wounded Warrior Products

The Medical Applications trainer will be responsible for training the DoD’s Wounded Warrior products at DoD Medical Treatment Facilities and Veterans Affairs Hospitals. The individuals in this position shall be responsible for the execution of Instructor-Led (classroom) Training (ILT) and Over-The-Shoulder (clinical) Training (OTS) at users’ workstations at DoD and VA sites. The Medical Applications trainer responsibilities shall include but not limited to the following:

Additional responsibilities shall include assisting in the creation of and/or updating all training materials, submitting lessons learned reports, and attending status meetings/conference calls as needed. 

The Medical Applications trainer must have AHLTA or higher training experience and an understanding of Wounded Warrior products, excellent presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills and must have the ability to work in a team environment and work with minimal supervision. He/she must have excellent time management, organizational, and planning skills, including the ability to perform in a fast-paced clinical training environment. He/she must have experience conducting instructor-led training. The Training Specialist must be proficient in MS Office 2007 or higher.  He/she must be flexible and available to travel approximately 100%. Travel will be to DoD and VA facilities in the continental United States (CONUS) and/or overseas, Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).

The education requirements for the Medical Applications trainer include a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years general computer experience. Two (2) years of work experience is also required in either healthcare or systems training. DoD Military Treatment Facility experience, while not required, is preferred. Must be a US Citizen and have a valid US Driver’s license and US Passport.
